Wishing you all a very beautiful and glorious day of love - February 14th, 2013.
Being a management graduate, my instincts have always drawn me towards two vital principals. 1) Optimal utilization of resources and 2) Identifying and choosing the best alternative. Heavy as it may sound, but I was able to incorporate these guidelines into my fashion sensibilities and hence in my TrimmingsAndLace journey too. If you have been following my blog or been a casual reader you might as well have come across certain outfit pieces labelled as TrimmingsAndLace. They were self-designed pieces and custom tailored to suit my requirements. And ofcourse, an outcome of the above two principals. As time passed I started getting inquiries for these pieces, I started designing custom pieces, styling them for some readers and finally putting them all together into - The TrimmingsAndLace Collection (here). If you have joined me on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram you already know, don't you??
The idea behind the entire collection is not to retail a trend or something which you can't pick from the store of your choice. The ideology simply is that if you like what I wear, you can have it too...which would be exclusive and custom made only for you. Through this endeavour, I am intending to provide you with a no-fuss shopping indulgence and to establish a special connect which I can share with you for the times to come. Following is a little draft on how I am operating.
Recently, I added a few pieces in the collection to celebrate this month of love. And what better day to share an outfit featuring the same than today. The only brief I had in my mind was something yellow, spring yellow, sulfur yellow...anything yellow. I thought of bringing in this cheer and added elements of love, mush and romance with some floral applique work. Though this look of mine is quite understated, (in all honestly, some severe flu action has taken over me and has rendered me immobile to say the least) I can't wait to pair this jacket with summer white maxis, lace dresses and basic denims. Did I tell you I shall accessorize it with an over-dose of sequins or perhaps floral headbands. Too much for one post? Management principal 3) Reader attention is short!
