TrimmingsAndLace For Klip.in : App Review

Klip GIF

Klip 2

The story of every fashion lover has this chapter. The one which started with clipping cuttings of fashion magazines and celebrity features in newspapers into folders and files, moved on to an array of folders on the desktop and perhaps progressed with book-marking and categorizing them for "long term reference". The fashion world today is a livewire. Fashion is evolving by the minute and your have hordes of options rising from the streets, high street brands and the social media itself, making themselves available to you at a click. The fashion lover too has grown and is constantly on the move. Bridging this vital gap and making 'fashion' available in real time is Klip.in with their newly launched Klip mobile app. I was lucky to be among the #FirstCircle of few chosen bloggers to test and experience this app prior its official launch.

I am someone who just like my shopping trips, likes my tech-usage to be easy, fuss-free and user-friendly. And this app, checks all boxes in that regard. The user is welcomed by an easy sign-in process. If you are an existing user at Klip.in you just need to fill in your details, otherwise you can choose to sign-in with your existing social profiles. Alternatively, you can create a fresh account which takes less than a minute, on the clock! Being a huge lover of minimalism, the other feature that instantly drew me to the app was its basic and clean interface. As you sign-in, you are taken to pick your category of choice – Men, Women, Home, Lifestyle – for you to explore and discover styles and trends under each. You can further narrow your choices and preferences based on the sub-sections provided under each category. Your picks and preferences will accordingly be reflected in your home feed, which by far is my favourite section in the app. Move away clicks and scrolling, you can access your home feed in easy and fun swipes which again makes the app very convenient and perfect to access whether you are catching up with your girls over coffee or are on the go in a cab. If this wasn’t enough, with the Klip mobile app you get an access to the current collections of over a hundred brands (Flipkart, Myntra, Jabong, Forever New, Koovs…to name a few), get a feeler of the latest trends, compare styles and prices before you make your final pick. And with all this, the cherry on the top is your personal profile. You can ‘klip’ your favourite pieces to your profile and keep them as reference or visit them later when you need to make your shopping decisions.

So, isn’t this a complete shopping experience taking a detour and coming to you how you would like it best. Don’t believe me? Here’s how you will – Download Klip.

And once you do, don’t forget to join me at Klip – TrimmingsAndLace. See you there!

TrimmingsAndLace For MaxFashions

If you've been following me on Instagram, you might as well be knowing where I am spending my Fridays (clue). Fridays aren't and never will be the same again as Max - India's leading fashion value chain launches its latest initiative Max Trenday. Max is among the leading fashion brands offering its customers a one stop shop for clothing, accessories and footwear. A division of Lifestyle International (P) Ltd., Max is a pioneer in the concept of 'value fashion' in the country, thereby offering the discerning shopper a vast choice in international fashion and quality. With over 92 stores in 43 cities across India, it is an absolute delight for me to be bringing the 'Max Trenday' celebrations from Chandigarh as the official stylist and fashion adviser for the brand.
Launched on August 8, 2014 Max Trenday is all set to increase the glamour quotient among the city fashionistas. Also, this debuting property is a platform for the trendy youth to showcase their fashion quotient. How? Well, the aspirants will be put through a rigorous audition process out of which 20 of them will be hand-picked based on traits such as their confidence, style and ramp-walk. Following this, the winners will be declared through a glitzy grand finale.
The highlight of the campaign is the selfie contest, where the consumers can take a picture of themselves at the exclusive selfie zone set up at the Max stores. The selfies will then be uploaded on the Max's Facebook page where entries with the highest votes stand a chance to not only win Max gift vouchers and hampers, but also a chance to walk the ramp at the Max Trenday Grand Finale.
The TrimmingsAndLace readers based in Chandigarh can join me and be a part of this excitement on August 15th. It is time to 'Look Good, Feel Good' with Max Trenday.
Don't forget to join me on Instagram and Twitter, if you haven't already!

Love Struck...Twice!

I am definitely the nth person to be saying this, but online shopping has been a world saver. Yes indeed, there is a whole management and economical cycle involved to it. (I am struggling with self to not get into the details right now. Call it my MBA genes). In addition to the convenience factor in terms of effort and time, what’s applauding is that many of these stores carry multi-product lines. So, if you are looking to create an outfit from scratch, online stores provide you a ‘one-stop-shopping’ experience to the T. Among the many, the one store that is placed up on my list is Rooja. Rooja offers your conventional products with a little twist and quirk. There is always an element that is new and unique in its own way - be that clothing, accessories, shoes or home décor.
Likewise, when I was asked to pick an outfit from their wide range I had a real tough time stopping at just one. Maxis and illusion skirts being my love this season, I simply couldn’t look past this dress. Besides, I didn’t have a chevron piece in my closet so this came as a perfect addition. True to the picture, I was elated when I received my piece.
Much like the Rooja fundament of bringing out the unconventional, I decided to style this dress with traditional kundan jewellery.
This dress is my current favourite and with winters setting in, I can’t wait to style it with knits and blazers. Have you picked your favourite yet?

Wearing -

Dress - c/o Rooja
Earrings and Bangle - Mom's (here)
Peep-toes - Vero Moda
On my nails - Chanel Fantastic
On my lips - MAC New York Apple

Remember my maxi-look from earlier this year?

High Noon

Hello beautiful people!!

I am so so excited to "break this news" to you guys.

I recently did a guest post for the lovely Chandana from The Girl At First Avenue. I had been contemplating for quite some time now to include a guest post on my blog and she always topped my mind as someone I would want to begin with. I felt privelged that she thought of me in that light as well.
What I love about Chandana's blog is the fact that her blog is multi faceted. Its about fashion, her ideologies and such wonderful aspects of life that we often tend to miss. Every time I visit her blog I am amused at the diversity of her thoughts and how beautifully she is able to pen them. You can relate to each and every word she says. I admire her candidness and her up front dignity. Some instances from her life are truly inspiring. You have to have to check her blog to believe me!!
P.S And she looks gorgeous in a saree :D

Guys please check out my post here.

And you can scroll down for more of my outfit pictures :):)
